OUR LENTEN AND HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE OF SERVICES
Based on John DeVries book "Why Pray?"
Starting Wednesday, February 17 we will be offering services
at 12:00 noon and again at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday during Lent.

February  17: Ash Wednesday, Psalm 51  “Why Pray?--The Prayer of David”
David sought the Lord so that he might be restored.  Only the Lord can cleanse the conscience, give healing newness and fresh perspective.
(This service will also include the Imposition of Ashes and Communion.)

February 24: 2nd Wednesday of Lent, Acts 9:10-19 "Why Pray First?—The Prayer of Saul"
Only the Lord can go before an individual, working and paving the way for that which is to follow.  Appealing to the Lord before beginning any undertaking is a sound course to follow.

March 3: 3rd Wednesday of  Lent, Acts 7:54-60 “Why Pray for Others?—The Prayer of Stephen”
Even when a prayer for others doesn’t name them specifically, the Lord still hears and answers in a way that brings eternal blessing.

March 10: 4th Wednesday of Lent, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 “The Seven Needs of Every Home—The Prayer of Paul”
Every home needs the blessings the Lord desires to give us.  We would not ordinarily pray for some of the “blessings” the Lord provides.  His provision supplies our well-being.

March 17: 5th Wednesday of Lent, 1 Kings 3:3-14 “The Foundations of a Home of Prayer—The Prayer of Solomon”
God desires that we pray according to His purposes and gives us great power through prayer.  God’s desire is to bring blessing through us to others.

March 24: 6th Wednesday of Lent, 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 “The Vision of H.O.P.E.—The Prayer of Jabez”
Excited anticipation of the work of the Lord characterizes a life of prayer.  Nothing is too great and nothing too small for our Lord to hear and respond.

Thursday, April 1 -7:00 p.m.  MAUNDY THURSDAY: Exodus 14:10-14, "The Prayer of the Israelites" - (communion at this service)

God’s promise to hear and answer is always true.  Our prayer is that we might have the heart and mind of Jesus as we pray, trusting implicitly that God will give the best answer to our prayers.  God’s answers to prayer are absolutely astounding!
